    Heated grips

I got my bike, but unfortunately it came without heated grips or seat. I was going to get the triumph heated grips installed when I have my 500 mile service done ( day after tomorrow), but after I found out that the grips alone were $270 I said no. I think they cost $180 on my Tiger, and they do not compare with any BMW that I rode. Okay, that said I was thinking of going with an aftermarket grip. The Apollo grips from Koso North America caught my eye. Looking for some thoughts on this idea. Good bad or indifferent, I would like to get some advice. This is the link to the site where I saw them. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Apparently Triumph is discounting the Trophy accessories.  The grips are $185 on their website.

    Hope this helps.

I think this is terrible of Triumph to run out and dump their accessories without the TTSE even being "cold" yet after her demise.  I bought pannier and box liners because of this. You can get seat and hand warmers from Cal Sci for about $80.00.

You the dealer quoted me $185 too, so I agreed to purchase them. When I was signing the credit card receipt is when I noticed the $270 charge. That is when I told him to pump the brakes. He reimbursed my money no problem, and blamed Triumph for listing them as $185 but charging $270. That could be , but why didn't he say anything before charging me?

Hmmmm  Maybe we are seeing dealer costs by mistake instead of a clearance sale.

The "factory set" on my bike may have cost too much but they work great and I like how they integrate with the dash panel.  Heated grips are one of those things I thought where for REPMF till I got them myself.  :046:  They make the difference between fun and this sucks/

    Pits,

If you can get them from the website at the lower price, they are not that hard to install. There is a thread on it,

    https://www.triumph-trophy.com/index.php/topic,4219.0.html

We need to get mgmoto to assist with the photos as they appear to have been deleted by his provider.

    Just a thought.
