Lovely new (to me) SE just delivered :-) couple of questions...

Hi gents (presuming mainly gents here!)

Iíve just taken delivery of a gorgeous blue Trophy SE and there are two possible issues.

    1. When stationary, the screen goes down manually to the lowest point then bounces back up again. Just wonít stay down!

    2. With the stereo on the lowest volume thereís a screeching sound from the speakers like some small hamsters have taken up residence.

Any advice would be really appreciated

Btw - what a machine! Itís for year round motorway work and Iíve got heated clothing being delivered so thereíll be no excuse :-)

screen sounds to me that the limits are not set so it drops down and tries to go further finds it cant so thinks something is stuck so 'relieves the pressure' by going back up.

Speakers no idea I do not use mine though only use bluetooth.  I have actually disconnected mine and have added a jack if needed

Hi TrickyWoo56 and :400: to the Club !

For your screen issue "john348" is probably correct,
but did you describe the issue correctly ?

When you say, "When stationary the screen drops ....."
It should NOT do that when you first come to a stop !

The Screen should drop down to the lowest point after switching off
the Ignition, and when the Ignition is switched back on, it should then return
to the position it was at immediately before switching off.

Your Dealer can reset the upper and lower limit points,
or you may be interested in an after market product such as : DealerTool which can perform this,
and many other useful Maintenance Tasks / Test Procedures.

Regarding the "noise" when the volume is turned down,
there is a possibility that this is not coming from the audio system at all,
but from the Glove Box Locking solenoid, which can emit a sort of high frequency "hum" !

Put your ear near the locking button to see if that is the source of the noise !

If you only hear the noise with the Ignition off, and it is a sort of high pitched
but much quieter version of a wonky emergency services vehicle siren (  :012: ),
then it could be the fuel system bleeding excess pressure from the fuel rail back into the tank.

    Cheers  :821:

Wow thatís brilliant - thank you!

Also...both issues have gone away! Perhaps the bike was in the dealer for ages and it just did the old Range Rover trick of thinking on being woken up Ďright then, here I am...yep thatís goodí etc and sorting itself out. Personification gone mad but itís not doing the things it did earlier
