    Hi,
First of all - thank you all for such a great forum.  It really helped me decide on the Trophy as my next motorcycle !

Mike here - currently in Cary, NC, have been in US for 17 years - originally from Scotland
    55, married, 3 kids
Have been riding since I was 17 and my good lady has been with me all that time

    Last bikes have been :
    - Triumph Daytona 955i (Too cramped)
    - Kawasaki Ninja 1000sx (Good for me - not for wife - no shaft drive)
    - and now my 2016 Trophy SE

We tested BMWs and I expected to go after a K1600GTL but bizarrely the Trophy just felt better
    - More agile, more engine character, less wind buffeting for us - and a lot less weight
    - The ergonomics for the electronics on the Triumph are not well laid out - but you get used to them ...

Loving the bike.   Handles better than I would have ever expected and lots of room for us both
Hoping to get some decent use from it as our last child heads off to college next year - so we can spend more time together on 2 wheels again

:400: to the forum.  I traded a K1600 for my 2013 Trophy for the exact same reason.

:400: Mike. The proof is in the test ride.  Rode BMWs since 96, never a new one.  One day in 2014 I decided a new bike was in order.  Called dealer told him to get out a new R1200RT for test ride.  When I got there,  they sell both BMW and Triumph, the salesman also had aTrophy out.  After a back to back test ride I came home with the Trophy.
