Hi from south of France !

Hello folks!
I’m actually riding a St 1300 (since 3 years/80 000kms) but the Trophy is on the scope as my next bike.
The first time I rode it was three years sooner and I’ve been disappointed (noisy engine, too smooth, not so good wind protection…). Maybe it was too soon, I was leaving my Busa, so the gap was too large.
But right now, after a new test and a better appreciation, I feel ready to go ahead, despite Triumph has discontinued to produce it.
My "requirements" are based on my usage on the bike which I used for daily commuting (120kms a day, all along the year) and off course also for some extras such as Alpen Tour (4500kms) with my pillion.
I’m focusing on a 2014’ or closer in order to avoid the several minor issues from the beginning, full options : SE + heated grips/seats, touring screen, RG crash guards, “what else”?
My goal is to buy one with no more (or less) than 32 Mkms in order to ride till 100 000kms (3 years).
But how is/will be the market for such a bike with so many kilometers?
What about the reliability and robustness?
Especially for electronics gimmicks (no problems with the ST, there is none!) I read that heated grips may have problems (melting)?
Is it possible to rebuild the rear shock absorber in case of?
Ok, I stop to fright myself and let you answer with the real life feedback.
Thanks a lot for welcome me (I hope so!).
Franck

TNT I doubt you will be disappointed with a Trophy. Yes the motor is a bit noisy but not enough to be a bother, at least not to me. The other attributes make up for any noise issue.

Hi TNT and welcome, I bought a 2013 TTSE about two months ago, a little noisy yes, a little heavy at slow speed, but becomes soooooo light at speed, I only get to ride weekends due to work, but looking forward to going to Spain and Bulgaria on it next year, I changed from a Honda CBF 1000 with full luggage after the wife and I toured France, great little bike, I always wanted a good TTSE in Pacific Blue, found one on my return from France, and I love it.

Thanks for your warm welcome.
About my pseudo : I was looking for something simple...well, hope it's not a premonition !
Blue is my favorite color it and can help to open the road (in France at least
)

Hi Dragon,
Should you be able to ride on the roads I use to (Charente's roads are straight lines), you'll never get back in UK !
If you come back in France, you're my guest !
