    Who has over 50,000 miles?

I'm considering buying and want to get an idea of how much the engine has been proven. I have found very little information on the web.
What year do you have and how many miles without any major engine work?
Apologies if a similar thread is already on here. But I didn't see one.

65 for me and other than the head recall, nothing on the engine. Broken wires to the ignition switch at 50k is my only breakdown

I have a little over 43000 and running well, uses no oil between changes.  I guess I can say it runs better now than new.  I forgot to put in first once and started out in third.  I surely wouldn't make a habit of it but the motor never complained.

I ride a 2014, bought new - about 37,000 miles so far.  Daily rider of 40 miles a day, plus day trips of 300-800 miles on a regular basis.  No issues.  I follow the Triumph recommended maintenance plan.  Overall, the bike seems to be running and shifting smoother with time.   :002:

Pretty good. I should have also asked if anyone had their engine come apart and had to do an overhaul?  At what mileage?
Hopefully the only causes of this one would be the heads.

Mines just clocked up 15k so I've got a way to go, will have fun checking the cam chain at 20k no doubt, need to buy that special tool first.

It's a bit of a lottery I think, you can't guarantee any engine not to fail, there's always bound to be the exception to the rule. Having said that, engine design etc has come on a long way since the 70's for example, which modern vehicle has had many catastrophic engine failures?

The life span of a vehicle is short now anyhow, they want you to trade in/buy a new one, they don't design these parts to last longer than the warranty period. Lol

42000 when I traded mine in. Ran like a champ. Loved it.
