Hi all from way down here in New Zealand
Just bought myself a 2014 Trophy, actually a new bike with only 26km on the clock! well had 26km picked the bike up from Nelson in the south island and had a brilliant ride back up to New Plymouth in the North Island now around 600km on the clock.
I had a K1200s and my wife and I are doing more touring now so I've been looking for something that will do the job
We did a week In Australia recently on an R1200RT which we found very comfortable but lacked a bit in the power department in my opinion, was a nice bike though.
Anway was going to be an RT or Trophy or K1600 took the trophy out for a spin and was really impressed.
So a new horse in the stable thought I would join the Triumph Trophy forum.
Merry Christmas to everyone hope everyone is having a good break
Cheers
Clarky

Clarky,
to the Forum and also congratulations on the new [nearly] Trophy. I was only on the "dog and bone" [phone] to a very good friend in Lower Hutt a few minutes ago. The wife and I did the North island a few years ago, next is the South. Beautiful country for riding. I also have owned a BMW R1200RT and agree with you on the Trophy being better. I'm sure your wife and yourself will indeed enjoy touring on the new toy.
HACKLE I'm too young to be this old.

Clarky
I only bought my TTSE in September, but what a bike, I too was also looking at the K1600gtle, it would of ben on finance, BMW said I would not be able to afford it, so I went to Triumph, my second choice, their loss, anyway enjoy the bike, my wife rides pillion with me, she loves it, finds it so comfortable, and loves the heated seat.
Safe riding, and again, welcome.
