    Fitting tank bag without..fittings

    Hi folks,

I've bought a Triumph tank bag from a UK retailer and the retaining plate and connecting strap aren't present.

The vendor is trying hard to help.

Is there any workaroiund for this perhaps? I think it's quite likely that a lot of the retaining plates are moved on with the bike when they're sold as it's not obvious it's not part of the bike,

    Thank you.

    TrickyWoo56,

There is "almost" a solution for this problem !

The fitting kit provided with a new Tank Bag includes :

    A Retaining Plate,
Canvas strap and elasticated strap assembly,
with a Male Buckle to click into the Female buckle on the Tank Bag,
    Retaining Screw,
    Self adhesive rubber pad,
Cleaning Wipe ( for fixing the Rubber Pad ).

I will soon be able to provide a replacement kit of all the necessary parts,
incuding the Retaining Plate which I have manufactured,
Canvas Strap assembly with the exact Make / Type of Male Buckle
( The kit will also include the Female buckle as a "spare" for the Tank Bag ),
    Retaining Screw and washer,
    Self Adhesive Rubber Pad,
    Cleaning wipe,
    Fitting Instructions.

I'm just waiting on my Seamstress ( Daughter ! ) to sew up the strap assemblies,
and I will then be able to provide a replacement Fitting kit at a "sensible" cost,
probaly well under £10 to cover some of the costs  + Postage.

I'lll post on the Forum as soon as they are ready - hopefully in a day or two  :028:

    Cheers  :821:
