Come on T-Guys, diversity is GOOD.... And, comparison shows what a terrific bike the TTSE is!!!
That said, I LOVE my KLR, my 'Big Happy Dog', go-to bike for around town errands. Rode it all around the USA for a few years.
Z1 is 'my baby', owned since '76, traded for another bike and bought it back 1.5 years later, felt like I sold my child. Suspension beats you to death, handling, though good in it's time, sucks, brakes are a joke, but I love it and told my sons to put my ashes in it's frame so I can ride forever.
Africa Twin== KLR on steroids. Comfy, light, lots of power, good off-road when needed, doesn't have the protection of the TTSE but actually a perfectly acceptable touring bike in many ways.
What I like about 'Adventure Bikes' is that when the road turns to gravel, instead of saying 'sh*t!!!' you say 'Whoopee!!!!'..
But.. no bike has ever pleased me as much at my Trophy... Warts and all ( it's a '13, 76K on it now... Africa Twin as 'stolen' about 20K from it..
)

You nailed it! I can’t or won’t take the Trophy down those roads. This just gives me more opportunities. I saw a trip report from San Juan mountains in Colorado. 12000 foot summits, but dirt roads. Now I have a second bike that can make that trip😀
