I'd have a hard time spending that kind of money for a Lithium battery.  $250, plus I would feel a need to buy the appropriate charger for another $80, so $330 total.  If they lasted significantly longer than an AGM, it might be worth it, but from the reviews, that doesn't seem to be the situation.  I'm not sure what I do differently from most others, but I routinely get 7 years from my batteries.

The Lithium batteries can also be deep cycled (by mistake, of course) and return to life (lead acids cannot), and they weigh SIGNIFICANTLY less (4.5lbs vs. 12+lbs), so you're not just getting nothing but electricity for your money. I rarely get more than 2-3 years from a lead-acid battery (in either a car or motorcycle) as the heat in my area kills them. The Lithium battery in my CBR1000RR is going on year 6 in the same climate.

One last thing is the battery is slightly shorter in height so it gave me room to put the 30 amp fuse I needed for my electrical work right on top of the battery where I can get to it. It's also a bit shorter in length, so it's quite a bit easier to get in and out of the tray without knocking the leads off the starter relay.

I'm not trying to sell you, buy all the lead-acid batteries you want, but I just happen to really love the battery. If I could get one for my automobiles, I would.

:046: Blue skies no rain, suns out but bit cold but can't have everything, Scotland is good this morning. And now that I have my Oximiser on my battery Im sure my bike will start..... happy days...

The reality... got all my gear on, went to get the bike out to find that I had a burst pipe in my garage.... easy fix, just a push type fitting split, water running down the wall and out the door, no damage. So toby key in hand I get to the street and try to open the cover... not happening. 30 minutes later with bashing with hammer and digging with a screwdriver I get the cover open. Toby valve is buried in gravel and about 8" of water.... bugger, can't find the valve. Ok, run a power cable out, get the vax wet hoover out and suck it out. Then the toby refuses to budge, can't remember the last time I turned the water off at the street, must have been 10 yrs. With a little help from my neighbour (thanks Vinnie)we muscle the toby closed about 30 minutes later, thank goodness the burst wasn't in the house.. 2 minute fix to the fitting, had one to hand. Water back on and tools away and bike disconnected from the tender, pushed out to the sunshine and i go and get my jacket . helmet etc on.... key in and click battery wont start the bike.. aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh......

Just not meant to be today. Ordered a new battery from Halfords, click & collect so will pop down and get it and put on charge... maybe next weekend  :034:

Oh my goodness!  The mystical powers greater than us didn't want you to ride today!  Probably for good reasons!  As a Religious Humanist I don't take such signs lightly.  Leaving today to sit with my granddaughters as their regular sitter has come down with the flu.  They begged me to drive my Mustang because "it's cool!". And so it will be.  Trophy/Sprint will stay parked this week - hoping to ride the following week!  Freezing precip here at the moment.
