A new lighting option available

CB Dane, EE extraordinaire over on the K1600 website has been making a conversion kit for the K1600 which would allow the turn signal lights to be used as amber running lights as well a turn signals. It was a plug and play that required no cutting soldering or anything else, and could be used with the Schrodie lighted roundels for BMW's. I put them on my K1600 and really liked the at the $140 price (not counting the Schrodie's either). Well, CB has been hard at work and done a new and improved version in collaboration with Clearwater and they are now available from them for $90 US per set as the "Betsy" conversion (for his wife), and according to his posting about them they are now compatible with any brand motorcycle, just have to change from the BMW connections to OEM or cut and solder. Those competent enough may wish to put the Trophys compatible connectors on them and try them out. They are completely sealed and waterproof now too due to complete encapsulation of the module (not really an issue before anyway according to one guy that put his under up to the headlamp).
A video of them working:
A video of them with the Schrodies (I know it doesn't apply but they look cool)
A video of the quick install on a BMW K1600
Thought some of you might find this interesting.

Thanks for the video! Looks sharp on the BMW although not sure how it would work on the Trophy?

I turned on my hazard lights and with the Trophy's indicators are far apart as they are I think the Betsy conversion would make it a lot more visible. Clearwater's website states that they are only available for the BMW K1600, but other makes will follow soon. If the wiring connectors to the Trophy's signals use the same connector as other Triumph models it would surely enhance the chances that Clearwater would be willing to sell a kit with a Triumph wiring harness since their market would be larger than just the Trophy. I'll have to look around and try to find some info on the connectors. It's also possible to just cut the BMW connectors off and put some Triumph connectors on the wiring if you can get the right ones. This unit is just an inline plug and play module and requires no lighting modifications.

. I have them on my bike, they work great. Just FYI.

+1 Looked at the web site and it appears to be an easy install. Noted one review by a TTSE owner

AZBob,
Did you have to replace the flasher relay to get the flash rate back to normal? They show 2 different ones for the 06-08 Daytona 675 "and more" and I guess that one would work.

All it does is invert the signal so you don't need to worry about the flash rate. If you change from incandescent to LED, then you need resistors, but that has nothing to do with the Blinker Genie.
