Day 1.
« on: July 07, 2013, 11:20:17 AM »
Got up nice and early as i didn't get much chance to ride the bike yesterday. Did a local run that i love. Fast A roads and twisty B roads that work the motor and test the handling. Bike shone on both. Handling belies it's size. Great feeling front end. Every Triumph i've owned has that feature. Fuelling is a gem. Any gear - any rpm, twist grip and go. 50 mpg imp average. Gearshift and tranny are superb. Negligible driveline shunt. Audio rig is fun. 1st time for me with one.
Hard to find any faults with the bike.
Off out again tomorrow. Hope to get a few more miles in around Wales. Great biking roads.

Hi Paul,

glad your first impressions are on a parr with everyone else!

It truly is a great bike. Hard to find fault and the ones you might have are not deal breakers...

Have a great time in Wales, I agree with you about the roads, some lovely ones to really put it through its paces.

Had a good run out today. Probably 400 + miles in 30 deg heat. It put me through the wringer today. Had 2 water bottles with me and had to buy a 3rd. Bike didn't miss a beat - which is more than can be said for rider. I feel fried. However - any faired bike would be chore during our current weather. I was eyeing Street Triples with envy.

Roll on the usual British summer...

Couldn't have said it better  :062: Just had 3 days in mid Wales. Best riding I've had in years  :046: :046: 800 miles of bliss and although on a shop bike it never missed a beat." IT DONT GET ANY BETTER "  :821: :821:
