    Hello From Oklahoma City

Hello everyone. I am looking at possibly buying a new 2017 Trophy SE. I want to search the forum to learn about the bike before I decide to buy. Looking for any problems that may be common.
I've had my Honda ST1300 for almost 11 years now. It has been trouble free for 91,000 miles. I'm just ready for a new sport touring bike.
    I have a 2006 DR650 and a 2015 Tiger 800XCX. I love the triple motor in my Tiger.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

:400: to the forum.  The 2017 should serve you well and will be a great ride.  As far as problems I think very few have surfaced on the 2016's and 2017's, but this is the place to find out for sure.  :821:

Thank you very much! I see you are not far from some good riding. I have got to get down there and ride the Three Sisters.

Hi okckeith and :400: to the Forum !

There is plenty of information in the Forum so have a good Browse around,
and use the SEARCH Button for any specific questions or Topics -
If you can't find what you need just post a New Topic and ask !

You should be aware that Triumph have recently discontinued production of the Trophy model,
although they undertake to continue to support for discontinued Models
with Spare Parts and Servicing for 12 years.

As a result of the discontinuation, there are some GREAT Bargains to be had on this FANTASTIC Bike !

    Cheers  :821:

okckeith.  :400: to the Forum and I hope I can  :400: you to new Trophy ownership in the near future. I have the current model with 33,670 kms. on the clock. No problems apart from adding tyres that I appear to wear out. The current [to be changed tomorrow] PR4's GT's have given me the best wearing to date, 15,100 kms. I'm pleased with this result. Would have liked to put the 5GT's on tomorrow but their not available in Australia till the middle of the year. I can't wait that long, I have a one thousand k FarRide to do on Friday. If you like the three pot, you'll love the Trophy. Best touring, sorry sports/touring bike I've owned, and there's been a few over my 50+ years of riding. I didn't even take a test ride, just measured the seat length to make sure my wife would be comfortable, and she is, and that was it, I'll have it.  :821: :158:

:400: okckeith, there were a few issues with early model years but have been addressed.  The Trophy is one fine bike and just plain fun to ride.  The 1215 triple is absolutely intoxicating and makes me grin each time I ride it.  The gas mileage between fill ups is great as is the handling and wind/rain protection.  Buy it.

    Welcome!
The TTSE is a magnificent machine, the most under appreciated bike in the world. There were a few issues early on but were corrected quickly. Mine has almost 40,000 miles and has been very reliable. Take one out for a test ride and see what you think!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.
