    Good Day from Edmonton, Alberta

Well time I said hello, been sitting reading for over a year now after seeing my first Trophy. I now have the chance to get a 2017 SE new from the dealer reduced by 4K along with a decent value for my current ride so I am seriously negotiating. Always have had a soft spot for Triumph owned a 1973 Bonnieville when in my late teens, back when oil leaks were expected and locktite was part of the daily ride.

I guess my biggest question is for those who have come from riding HD touring bikes - what are your opinions to the switch. I think, like others, this bike was under appreciated by both Triumph and general riding community.

PS Hope to be riding that Trophy in May if the snow is gone by then. :190:

Hi Etitanic and :400: to the Forum !

    I only ever rode a Harley ( Road King ) once ( for a few days )
on Hire in Arizona - It was OK - in a straight line,
until it stranded me at the Grand Canyon with a snapped Throttle cable  :138:

The Trophy is a far more refined machine - and you will absolutely love it !  :169:

    Cheers  :821:

Hi Ed and welcome from a fellow Albertan.  I've had a 2013 model since 2015 and love it. I had been looking at upgrading to a 2017 model from Blackfoot in Calgary but they sold out and besides I'm quite happy with all the mods I've done and would not want to do them all over again. I didn't know there were any 2017 models left in Alberta. I recommend you snap it up quickly. For reasons unknown (well crappy advertising is one) this gem of a bike seems to have hardly garnered the attention it deserves. I've been to the annual bike show in Calgary over the last three years and despite all the shiny new bikes I simply have not found a single bike that can compare to the TTSE. The BMW 1600 GTL exclusive is nice but there are just too many downsides...including price. In my opinion there is no better bike out there right now for long distance comfort with sporting appeal. Someday....10 years or so from now I may get a Honda Goldwing if they manage to increase the power, load capacity, fun factor and price to match the TTSE...until then I'll keep riding my TTSE.

Thanks for the welcomes all. And Gar I found this one in BC, there was one here in Edmonton but when I asked they said they were in negotiations with someone already. I am really starting to talk myself into this purchase. I will update when the papers are signed.

:400: to the forum.  I can't really compare it to HD's from a riders point of view, but I can compare it to HD's from a rear mirror point of view after riding with some friends one afternoon.  :745:

:400: to the TTSE, Love mine have not owned any big HD so cam't speak to them.  The Triumph has been great eating up highway miles and back road bopping.  :821: Cheers
