According to this forum there are 2970 members.  Perhaps if we all speak/petition in unison to Triumph they will get the message that we want a new version of the Trophy.  Not sure how to do and get a petition to them but if anyone from Triumph monitors this forum it might help.

It's a nice idea but I doubt that they would listen to be honest.

In my heart I know you are correct. But I refuse to go the Tiger route.  I'll keep the Trophy but it won't last forever, then what, back to BMW?

R1200RT is about the only thing really similar, but still not as good as the Trophy.  Too bad. :110:

When the previous Trophy model was discontinued,
( I had one of the 900cc versions in British Racing Green -
It's mine that can be seen on the Forum "History of the Trophy" Page ),
there was a similar, but as I recall not quite as determined, and emotional outcry.

It was more or less 10 years before the "new" Trophy Model, that we know and love, was released.

We all know that Triumph didn't do a very good job of advertising and promoting the Trophy,
or "Branding" it so admirers seeing one on the road knew what it was !

From a conversation I had a few months ago with someone in the Triumph Marketing Department,
Triumph do know they missed a trick there, with the Branding,
and the bottom line is that there were not enough Sales
for them to justify continued development and production.

There are presently no plans for another "new" Trophy Model.

The current trend is for Adventure type bikes, Cruisers, Roadsters,
and Classics, which is why the Trophy was dropped and Triumph concentrated
on developing the new Tiger 1200 Range, and others.

Triumph representatives certainly do read this Forum,
but remain commercially detached, and some what anonymous.

I'm hopeful that in around another 10 years, Market Trends will change, and Triumph will,
once again, reconsider their decision to discontinue the Trophy Model,
and it will be born again with all the refinements and improvements
that have been suggested elsewhere on this Forum.

Unfortunately, for me, I'll probably be too old and knackered by then
to appreciate a new version of the Trophy Model, but I'm not worried at all about that -
I have my Trophy NOW, I absolutely LOVE IT, and expect that it will probably outlast ME !

    Hope you'll be right Coconut...
Unfortunately, I'm doubtfully (that the Trophy comes back).
I'm not in the business like I was before, but I guess the long distances bikes are becoming a vanishing species.
Urban, Sport, Cruiser and Adventurer (like a SUV) seem to be the new offer.
That's life, time has change (and we getting older...).
Even the Goldwing has cannibalized the ST 1300 and the VFR 1200 (a mix of both would have made a great bike).
    Make it simple

I only got my TTSE last October, unless something serious happens, or I get to old to ride it, I'm 58 in April, this will definitely be my last bike, I said that when i had the Honda CBF 1000, but I wanted a TTSE for a long time, then I saw this bike. The wife loves it, I love it and I'm hoping to get some miles on it in my ownership, the only thing my wife wishes it had was arm rests, like the K1600 gtle we looked at before this one popped up.

I owned the 900 as well as the 1200 Trophy (four) many years. The latter was discontinued two years later (2002

That 'll be to late for Europe due to environmental reasons. Brussels plans to ban engines that run on fuel within a couple of years.

Come on, Alan. You're not that old, are you? And even I can mend the beast at my 71th!  :017:
