    Had a similar experience.  Scratches at the pannier and a broken gear lever bolt. :159:
    Never used a disk lock again.   :002:

    Update to my mishap with the front mudguard / fender for our friends across the pond.

    I have found a new one  :046:........£53.18 including VAT and postage from Fowlers in Bristol, the wife paid for it  :112:  :745:

    Hopefully it will arrive midweek. :027:

    You know what, we have all done some dumb things over the years.  Rode to work one day, got off my RT and simply walked away without putting down the side stand, clunk.  Nice thing about it was the engine guard was the only thing touching the ground.
