Screen Issues

I thought it might be useful to see which owners have had problems with their. My screen still plays up albeit at standstill.

Still a problem, since the first day it was delivered. 500 mile "tune" didn't help, except for the first day. I think the tune just initializes it and sets the original up down limits. After that, all bets are off. It was worse in the very cold. It seems better after washing the bike, like the rain lubricates the pins. I just took the four pins out and polished them with a dine Scotch Pad. Did not lubricate for fear of attracting dirt, dust, grit. It has worked so far, but limited riding due to the heavy storms in hear in the east all week.

I've had it happen twice now but for some reason I dismiss it as a software foible that will soon be fixed and don't stress too much over it.  Mildly annoying.

this problem of the screens will not be due to low battery volts?

Try to turn off the radio a couple of km, s before reaching home

Its a touring bike..... designed to run lots of additional accessories like iPhones, radios, intercoms, sat nav, heated clothing.....

The alternator and charging system will be designed to cope with that load...... we would all be suffering from more problems if it was down to a charging system that wasn't man enough. You shouldn't have to power down items prior to arrival to have enough juice to lower the screen!

If it is a charging issue then the alternator or some other component of the power system must be faulty and therefore replaceable under warranty
