    digital speedo

    Hi guys,

I've noticed in this cold weather that my Digital Speedo doesn't work when I ride off on a very cold morning. As the bike warms up and heat gets through the bike the Digital speedo kicks in..

Do any others have this happening to their bikes?

    cheers

Good morning Stumpyone - yes, the disappearing digital speedometer is a known anomaly.

The above are a couple of links to the issue.  I'm sure that there are more.

An odd quirk for sure.  Almost as if the bike is saying, 'Hey dummy! It's cold!'.  As if I couldn't see the temp readout above that...

I don't much ride below 32F so this issue hasn't cropped up on mine, but it's good to know.

Since the bike gets the speed from the ABS wheel speed sensors, it must still know what the speed is, or else the ABS would not work.  Sounds like Triumph just intentionally not display the digital speed.  I assume the analog speedometer still work?  Wonder if other Triumph do the same...
