I took off on a 2800 Mile ride with some extreme 74 degree temperature swings (30*-104*). As a result I was pretty loaded in gear.  I had a little too much and so I stole this tailbag off of my BMW GS.  It worked really well and rok strapped to the passenger seat.  Fit was perfect between top box and Utopia backrest.  It comes with a rain cover which also makes it less inviting to a casual thief if you stop for lunch, etc.

That looks very useful.  I would love a lockable hard case version of this.  I'm too pananoid to use soft luggage on a regular basis.

I agree.  Most of the time I had an eye on it.  Additionally I had the rain cover on it which made it less obvious how it was attached.  Lastly, they would have got bottled water, snacks, a hat and sunglasses....nothing of much value! Id been more pissed the bag was stolen :233:

LOL... that's the kind of stuff I keep in a tank bag for long trips.  I'm so paranoid I usually remove the tank bag (mounted with quick release tank ring) and lock it in my top case if I walk away from the bike for any length of time at stops.

I noticed your seat and driver's backrest.  I'm seriously thinking of changing out my seat over the winter.   What make, model, design etc. is this seat?  It looks pretty sharp and hopefully it's comfortable.

Most comfortable seat I have ever been on.  Here are the specs

+1 - the Russell Day-Long seat turns the Trophy into a platform that you can actually run an entire tank of fuel through non-stop, fill up, then do it again. Eliminates the sore butt completely, and the backrest provides just enough support to work perfectly.

The *only* issue I have with mine is the cost - they aren't cheap. But, if you want to do long trips on the Trophy, this is the seat to get. And when you add up all the money you'd spend on air pads, beads, cushions, gel pads, and cheaper replacement seats, it turns out it's not much more money to just order a custom seat right at the start.

(And to keep on topic...) This size bag or similar is perfect for packing. I have a Moto-Fizz medium, which is just a bit larger than this. (It fills the space between handrails, and between topcase and backrest - fits, but barely.). The small would be perfect, just like this one is..
