One the outer edges of the Mirrors there is a replaceable Rubber Part designed to protect the Bodywork.
Right Side Part Number = T2309082
Left Side Part Number = T2309083
They are fairly easy to replace - the complete Fairing does NOT need to be removed

!
Removal ( Left Mirror shown ) :
1. Flip the mirror out of its pod by gently pulling on the outer edge.
This will reveal the Wiring Connector and Retaining screw for the Indicator.

2. Depress the silver spring clip ( shown above ) inwards, to release the Wiring Connector,
and pull the Connector off the Indicator bulbholder.

3. Remove the large headed screw shown in the above Photo.
Hold the indicator in place with your other hand to prevent it falling out and being damaged !
After removing the screw move the outer edge of the Indicator away from the housing slightly,
then pull the complete Indicator Unit away to the side of the bike to release the tab from its inner end.
4. With the Indicator removed, a screw is revealed that secures the painted mirror surround panel.

Remove the screw and then remove the painted panel by easing it towards the front of the bike.
It is held by a peg that locates into a rubber grommet, and has additional locating tabs
around the edges of the panel - take care not to break them off !
5. With the painted panel removed, yet another screw is revealed,
which is one of the mirror pod screws - remove the screw.

6. The mirror rubber can now be removed.
Start by gently easing the lower edge away from the mirror pod, until it is released as shown.

7. Now ease the vertical edge away from the mirror pod until it is also released,
leaving the rubber held in place now by just the two small round tapered "pegs" - "Stalks".
( I couldn't think what else to call them ! )
The next Photo shows the vertical edge released - note the two cut outs in the vertical part
of the mirror pod, which locate into sections of the Rubber when reassembled.
The two Stalks are also shown where they protrude into the mirror pod.

8. Finally ease the Stalks out of their locations by gently pushing them from the inside
while pulling from the outside - try and grab the actual Stalk from the outside rather than pulling
on the main part of the rubber, to reduce the risk of pulling the Stalks off !
This Photo shows the Mirror pod with the rubber removed.
The arrows show the holes that the Stalks go through,
the Cut-Outs that the vertical edge of the Rubber fits onto,
and the lower part of the mirror of that the Rubber fits onto.
Re-Assembly :
1. Using some good old "Spit" ( or water with a tiny amount of soap ! ) to lubricate
the parts of the Rubber that engage withthe Mirror Pod, start by fitting the vertical edge -
ensuring the Rubber engages into those Cut-Outs.
2. Push the "Pegs" through their holes, and gently pull them into place from inside the mirror pod.
You will fell them almost "click" into place as you pull them through.
3. Fit the lower edge of the Rubber onto the bottom edge of the mirror pod,
gently squeezing, pulling, and manipulating until it is fully engaged.
4. Check everything "looks right" !
5. Replace the Mirror Pod screw removed at Step 5. in the removal sequence.
6. Refit the painted panel.
Check the rubber securing grommet is in place, and line the panel peg up to it.
Align the elongated tab of the rearmost edge of the panel ( which can easily be broken off
if you're not careful ! ) with the slot it is to fit into,
and while gently pushing the panel sideways towards the headlamp - to engage the other
securing tabs, slide the panel rearwards and into place.
Check the panel is correctly engaged around all its edges,
then replace the screw removed at Step 4. of the removal sequence.
7. Refit the Indicator, and secure it in place with the large headed screw.
8. Reconnect the wiring plug to the indicator bulbholder - it will click into place when it is pushed on.
9. Fold the mirror back in to the pod, remembering to adjust it if needed next time you ride

Cheers
