    Howdy folks  :821:

For this weekend I have a 2013 Trophy with 34 klms on the clock, on an extended test ride. Judging by the grins on mine and the Mrs faces it looks like a strong contender to wind up in the shed with the rest of the fleet.

I’ve been riding a while and previous Triumphs I’ve owned include a 1050 Tiger, Sprint GT and I currently own a Tiger Explorer.

The deal now hangs on the dealer producing the service history they claim to have.

I think I’m familiar with most of the character of the bike given that I own the Explorer, however I am just looking for any specific advice folks may have for things I should look into before I take it back on Tuesday and do some paperwork?

Look forward to becoming part of this group.  :152:

    Cheers, Keith.

..... and since asking the question I found this thread, which is brilliant and covers pretty much what I was asking.  :152:

Hi teef.au and :400: to the Forum !

That other Topic pretty well covers it  :169:

They should have the Service Booklet from the previous Owner, if they haven't - ask WHY NOT,
and even go as far as asking if you can be put into contact with the previous Owner -
after all, if the Bike is legitimate, why wouldn't they have the Service Book or mind giving
you the Contact details of the last Owner - especially if that would result in you buying it  :002:

Even without the Service Booklet, if it has been serviced by authorised Triumph Dealers,
there "should" be an electronic Service Record that the Dealer can access.

Cheers - and enjoy the weekend !  :152:

    Thanks for the welcome folks.

I think we have some fairly strict privacy laws in QLD so I doubt I would get to speak to the old owner, but at the very least I will be insisting on a printed service record.

It seems I am also victim to warped discs, so they will be replacing those before I accept it. I cleaned up the bobbins last night and took it for a ride. It stopped about 4 times but then 5he vibration came back. Apart from that it is a brilliant bike, if they don’t come through with my requirements, at least I had a great weekend and a Trophy will definitely be on the shopping list!

Just for the record, it still feels both smoother and quicker than the Explorer!

    G'day Teef,
35km on a 2013 model seems very low?

Nevertheless as you and your Mrs have worked out it's a brilliant ride.

My bad I need to update location to Canberra mate.

35000km is not too bad. I've clocked over 50000km on my 2013 TTSE.
