    Need help with my Topcase

My topcase is giving me grief again.  Started raining as I was getting ready to pack up for departure tomorrow.  Thought no problem just take it off and bring it inside.  turned the key till the handle popped out,  just came to a 45 rather than a ninety and will not move any further.  sprayed some WD, wiggled things opened and shut it more times than rational.  No joy.

What should I be looking for?  Thanks

Keeping the rectangular black plastic parts that house the 12v feed to the top box clean may help with this.

The mechanism in the case itself seems to be sticking.  I don't take it off very often so it probably needs a little exercise like me.  The lid latches often need assistance to close as well.  More use and all this should sort itself.

    Thanks for the tip

Is it wise to take the box apart and try and find the damage? Perhaps some grime stuck?

Same problem here.  I have found that if you hold some pressure to the left while lifting the handle outwards, it will make the full swing and disengage.  Same process on reinstall.  Turn the key with your right hand and hold left sideways pressure with your left hand while operating the lever.

I did lube up some of that mechanism when I had my box apart to fit extra brake lights, removing the panel on the bottom of the case exposes a fair bit of it.
