    No extra lock barrel

I purchased my TTSE used from a car dealer who had got it from another dealer.

I just out a top box onto the bike.  But the extra lock barrell is no where to be found.

Has anyone had any luck getting lock barrells from Triumph that are keyed to the original key?

The paniers and ignition are all on one key.  I'd love it if I could have the top box on the same key.

I do have a key with the metal tag on it so I have the key number.

I'm not sure you'll have any luck getting one keyed the same if the top box didn't come with the bike.  Where did you get the top box, and did it come with a lockset and key and you just prefer to have it keyed to match the ignition?  If you have a lockset, you might try a locksmith to see if it can be rekeyed or not.  I used to rekey my deadbolts and locksets myself a long time ago rather than pay someone to do it, and it wasn't all that difficult, but the new style locksets are a whole different design and I've never taken any of them apart.  I'm not sure if you could take the lockset from the seat release and install it in the top box so its keyed the same (which would be frequently used), then put your existing top box lock cylinder there and use the different key when you want to remove the seat.

Purchased the top box directly from Triumph and it does not have the lock Barrell.  The instructions in fact say to use the lock barrel that was included with the bike originally.  Tells you to look in the toolkit.

The top box does not include the barrel so I've got to order one from Triumph.

I assume you looked in all the nooks and cranies (the glovebox, the little waterproof box under the seat)? Sometimes dealers stuff them there. Also, might check the panniers, although you'd probably have heard it rolling around in there by now.

Check everywhere first, especially the underseat storage.

I have checked everywhere.  Tore the bike apart putting the top box and GPS mount on.  It's not there

When I, recently, bought my TTSE used from a Triumph dealer, they gave me a little plastic bag with a lock barrel in it.  I asked the finance girl what that was for and she said she didn't know, but to keep it with the paperwork.  Now I know why they supplied it.  I will buying a top box, so, I guess I'm set.
