    Audio off - low battery.
    on: May 30, 2018, 03.08 pm
    May 30, 2018, 03.08 pm
Every time I start her up I get the:

    Audio off.
    Low Battery.

Warning for a couple of seconds then it clears.

I even get this when the bike has been on the optimate and it shows fully charged.

Is this normal or something I should be concerned about?

There are other threads on this subject, try doing a search.

It's worth checking that your battery connections are clean and tight but I believe that the root cause is in the software.

    Bucket,

The Trophy has a built in Low Voltage Sensor, designed to preserve the Battery from being drained
so much that there is insufficient charge to start the engine.

e.g. If you leave the Radio ON without the engine running, eventually the battery will be too discharged
to start the engine.  The electronics sense this and switch off the Audio system
to preserve the remaining battery capacity - allowing the engine to be started.

If the Audio system is already ON when the engine is cranked over to start,
what happens is that, due to the high current draw of the Starter Motor, the electronic Low Voltage
Sensor detects the drop in Voltage, and turns the Audio System Off, which is why you see those messages.

Once the engine has started, and the voltage rises back to "normal" almost immediately,
the Radio will come back on again, and is nothing to worry about -
it shows the Low Voltage sensing system is working !

    Cheers  :821:

Should I get the same message even with the audio off?

Sounds like I'm worrying about nothing  :112:

Good question - I have absolutely no idea !

I wouldn't be surprised if the Display message is triggered by the Low Voltage sensing,
whether the Audio is ON or OFF !  At the sane tine the Heated Grips & Seats ( if fitted ),
and Accessory Sockets are also disabled - until normal Battery Voltage is restored,
but there aren't ANY messages that can be displayed about those !

    Cheers  :821:
