Okay we talked about a GTG in October.
I think we need to do a long weekend.
We could do a Monday or Friday or both on each side.

What’s the objective is Highway 170 from Terlingua TX to Persidio TX.
Many years ago I took a 1968  Karmann Ghia on this road because it was the road with the most  curves that I could on a map.
I have never had a  vehicle that was stock I mean what is a gearhead/motor head supposed to do.

I have been on this ride with Euro Sport Cycle out of Fort Worth “A Good Group” .
    I like the 26th through the 29th.

I was ask if ride’s where for just Trophy Owners only,   No if others want to come it’s fine with me.
It may sell more Trophies or we Trophy owners or you know what to buy with the Trophy is no longer  available to us.
I would like to say that the Trophy owners I have met are great people even if some don’t know anything about Lucas electronics. :156:

So this would be our groups first ride together so we need to do more planning.
We need to get a date.
We will have to get hotel reservations for the planned oven night stays.
October is just around the corner!

River Road is definitely worth a ride if you haven't visited.  I would say though that Big Bend is best experienced on a dual sport or a relatively light weight ADV.  To take in the best BB has to offer, IMO even a GS will be a handful for the average rider.

We are looking at State Hwy 170 from Presidio TX to Terlingua TX or the other way along the river all pavement I was there in February of last year and it was great if not a little cold.

River Road is in the Big Bend National Park and is just over 50 miles long and will challenge a real 4X4 mostly on the western end close to Santa Elena Canyon is.

I have based out of Alpine on previous 170 rides.  Worked well for a big loop ride, with lunch in Terlingua/Study-Butte.  But Presidio or maybe even Marathon would work.

October 26-29 is fine with me, but as far as routes to ride there I'm leaving that up to someone that's been there and knows the best, safest rides for all of us. :821:
