Proof the TTSE is the smoothest bike I’ve ever owned

I’ve come up with a slightly unusual problem.

A few years ago I got the Mrs a Fitbit. (To be fair she’s gorgeous and it’s somehing she really wanted, it was NOT a hint LOL) anyway she likes the thing and to this day takes pride in completing a minimum of 8000 steps each day. Sometimes driving the car she will start pounding her arm on her knee. When I ask why, I’m informed with a cheeky grin that she “needs a few more steps this hour”.

When we have big ride days there are a few default routes we frequently take. She normally happy with that idea because the route we rode yesterday usually gets her quite a few steps “for free” she figures being a pillion on the back of a bike being ridden by me is hard work so she is entitled to the “steps” generated by the bumpy roads.

We’ve had the Trophy for about a month now, and yesterday we did one of our regular rides. We got home and she had a strange look on her face. I’m a bit dumb still so I asked her what was wrong. She aid “this bike is too comfortable” like a clown I asked “how can it be TOO comfortable?” She replied “because last time we did that ride I got 5800 steps on my Fitbit, today I only got 2500, so the bike is too comfortable.”

I think your wife is missing the point of the step counting. Just sayin'

Gavj, my young wife of 64 years also has "some" difficulty getting on the Trophy. But she had a similar issue getting on our BMW R1200 GSA, and it was taller. If she wants to go riding, she gets on, simple. Her next problem is with fuel range. She's good for 2.5 - 3 hours on the back. But the fuel range is longer, and I like riding till I need fuel. For the sake of sanity, I stop a when I get a prod in the back. Yes I know, weak prick aren't I.  :821: :158:
