    Windshield woes

    A couple of points after 5k on my new ttse;
When the engine is running and stationary, the windshield won't raise up, it just resets until I've gone a short distance then raises...normal?
When highway riding the shield vibrates as if it's going to come off when it's in the 'down' position and is stable when put 'up'. Again, normal?
    All info gratefully received.

On my 2017 with 10k miles windshield goes up as soon as I turn on key. Stable at all heights even with tallest vstream all the way up. Been that way since I took it off showroom floor.

    No - that's not Normal !

You should be able to achieve the full range of Screen movement while stationary,
either with the Ignition ON, and the engine not started, or with the engine running.

There shouldn't be any such severe vibration when the Screen is lowered.

I would suspect a problem with a loose or broken linkage in one of the Arms.

Have a look at this Post for some information on that :

    Broken Lower Windshield Arm

    Cheers  :821:

Bugger. Well I've only had the bike a couple of months and its at 6k so I guess the warranty will cover it at the 10k service.

If you've got Warranty on the bike - let the Dealer sort it out !  :169:
( Check what's covered first though if it's an "Extended Warranty"
and not the original Triumph 2 year Warranty ).

Even if its not "broken" - it isn't working as it should, so hopefully the warranty will cover fixing it.

Ok, so after moving the shield up in small increments and down again, the damn thing works as advertised with just the ignition on!
I think the bloody thing is trying to put me in the funny farm.
