    Ok here's the 411.
I lived in the U.P. that's what it's called by the people that live there.
Dad was in the Air Force when we where there.

I always liked the out doors.

I started out on Saturday 8/11/18 at 3:45am.

I woke up at 2:30am it was just hard to sleep, the weather man said the rain was going to move in around 7am.
I checked my phone weather app, it showed that the rain was 75 miles to the south and not moving much.

I set my alarm for an hour later.
I woke to see the rain was just ready to start and see the rain start and last all day!!!!

    I started out at 3:45am.

I was able to get out of Dallas with just a s little a little rain, I hate rain gear its to hot.
The rain was light so I was able to use the large wind screen and duck behind it.

I have 2 GPS's and my phone and none share the same route.

I had a idea where I wanted to go the U.P.

My GPS's all wanted to go their own way.

I had my own idea the way I wanted to go and though I had set it in my phone, NOT!

The second day I rode on.

I have just a problem with people I call Yo-Yo drivers they speed up and slow down never to driver the same speed.

I was in the U.P. and I had just passed two cars that where just not proceeding in an efficient manner "Yo-Yo" drivers rather fast.

After I had passed the cars I was coming up on an SUV that was towing a boat the boat was just large enough to not see the SUV.

I was just about to pass it,,,, then I noticed there was a light bar, a low LED one.

After following the it for about 10 minintes I thought I would pass him, he was slowing down as he went up hills.

As I started going by him I saw he was a Sheriff, He was going about 53 mph the speed limit was 55mph, I knew that if I went over the speed limit it would be a question if I would get pulled over.

As I went by I waved at the officer and just was going about 57mph.
I have a police support sticker on my left hand box.

About 200 yards down the road I looked in my rearview mirror there was a car that went by the same officer and was pulled over.
I don't know if it was I went by at a slow speed or if it was my police support sticker or my wave, no matter what I was not pulled over.

All I know is that we need to support our law enforcement.

When they are not pulling us over!!!   :001:

I stayed at the Birchmont Motel just outside of Marquette Michigan a Great place to stay.

It's retro something you would see on Highway 66 clean and nice, and something you would see in your Grandmother's home.

    I liked it.
