Anyone a fan of the LWR and LWD series that they did?

Heard anything about this LWU trip?

    I hope it happens.

I loved LWR and LWD (although I will admit I was  :172: when Ewan's wife joined on the LWD trip---awkward, & selfish of her.)

I sat on Ewan's bike ( while he was recovering from his broken leg ),
when it was at a Company that fitted out some Communications Gear ti it.

After trying to watch one of the Episodes, that experience was, and is,
my only interest in the Long Way Round / Down programmes !

Even though riders had been doing long international rides prior to both of these epics, they sort of put the whole adventure riding on the world scene. I know that Ted Simon and others predate their rides, but theirs were the first commercial ventures. I enjoyed them both. The LWR more so than the LWD. Probably because of the wife's inclusion. I felt she was a PITA. Just my opinion. Cheers.  :821: :158:

I prefer to watch the likes of Austin Vince, have seen Mondo Enduro and Terra Circa many times compared to the Long Way series BUT any thing that puts motorcycles on TV is a good thing in my book.

Met Charlie Boorman a few years ago in South Africa, we were staying in the same hotel, he was with Ross Noble and about 18 other riders doing the Cape Town to Victoria Falls run. Great guys to talk to. Wife even had her photo taken with them, made her day!!   :152:
