Welp, my first and last post I guess.

Congratulations to me, I picked up an absolutely showroom condition 2000 Trophy 1200 in gold. 12k miles on the clock. Got a smoking deal and the bike is immaculate, completely stock. I paid what I could afford, I absolutely LOVE the bike even though the DMV hasn't been open yet to register it. I signed up for this forum, then was disappointed to learn that the forum is only for the latest 6 years of the trophy and not for the previous 25 or 30. Such a shame. This bike looks like it was built yesterday and I was hoping to learn valuable info from the riders here as I like to maintain my machines meticulously; I'd like to keep it tip top for as long as possible. I'm hoping to get 20 years out of this bike. Would someone be able to direct me to the correct forum for my year? Thanks, from western NY state. I'd offer beer...but my beer only tastes good to those who're into vintage things  :159:

The TriumpRat forum has a section dedicated to the previous version of the Trophy, as well as sections for other models.  You should be able to find all the information you need there.  You don't have to stay away from this forum, we have sections for general comments as well as for sale items, etc..  Who knows, at some point you may want to venture into the 1200SE waters.  In any case best of luck to you and enjoy your new ride. :028:

Sorry but I don't know the first thing about the previous Trophy.

Ah....looks like I also made the same mistake  :006: This will be my first Triumph, have always ridden Hondas, but didn't realise this was only for newer Trophies. I,ve likewise just picked up a really nice 1999 900...so will have to see if theres a forum which is a bit less ..how can I say this..discriminating !!

The Trophy didn't exist between 2002 and 2012 and this forum was specifically aimed at the newer model. Because the new model was fundamentally different we decided to cover the new model only as that was where most interest came from.   :038:

Unfortunately, in comparison, there's very little online interest in the older models.  :006:

Not MORE unsupported rumours and speculation !  :110:

There are NO plans at this time ( as far as I am aware ) for any future version of the Trophy.
