Grip Display Revisited
« on: July 17, 2013, 11:30:35 AM »
Okay. For those familiar with my previous post... The dash icon is now displayed, kind of.
It comes on for a few seconds when I turn the grips on or off, but does not stay on.  It then reapears for a few seconds if I move the switch to a different position.  The dealer tells me this is normal.  Somehow I don't think so.  It seems kind of pointless to even have a display indicating on/off, or the heating level if you can't see it without manipulating the switch.  What say you?

I'll continue the fight but need to know where I stand.

Thanks

The grip display stays on whilst the Grips are switched on and also you should have a display for the low or hi setting.

Needs checking

It's not normal !

The display should stay on until you turn the heated grips off !

In Roadrunner's photo below, the two little square indications under the heated grip symbol,
indicate that the switch is on the "High" heat setting.

When the switch is on the "Low" heat setting there will just be the one indicator.

Ditto everyone else's reply.  Grip display stays on as long as the switch is on.

As everyone else says the icon should stay on.  Your dealer doesn't have a clue
