The Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride, is a Worldwide event,
to raise funds in support of Charities for Prostate Cancer and
Mens Mental Health, in partnership with the Movember Foundation.

This Year the event takes place on 30th September.

This Year I'm helping out with the Marshalling of a local ride in Tamworth, Staffordshire ( UK ),
where around 70 classic motorcycles will be ridden by Gentlemen
in their Dapper outfits, in and around Tamworth,
starting and finishing at the Tame Otter Pub.

You can help support this worthy cause by making a donation
to any of the Riders, or to the Group here :

    Tamworth Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride.

Or look up the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride Website
to find out more and / or support a Ride closer to you  :028:

    Thanks for your support :-)

A huge day out for riders around the world. And as Bob's already pointed out, started in Australia. Doesn't matter were it started, Men's Health issues worldwide have benefited by it's inception. Fantastic that your helping Coconut. Have a great day.  :821: :158:

The organisation of DGR doesn't allow bikes that aren't retro and clothes that aren't 'dapper'. So honestly, I say that the organisation isn't interested in my bike, my participation and my donation. So, they can shove it where the sun doen't shine.
I mean, I'm not going to buy a bike or special clothes to go to a single event. That's just stupid.

There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.

They're not interested in me or my Trophy taking part in the ride either.

The difference is that I know a number of riders that ARE taking part,
and I approve of the charities they are raising funds for,
even though I hope that I never have to use their services,
so I am helping them by assisting with Marshalling of the event,
as well as making donations to them.

.... Just like I donate to a local Children's Hospice,
and have helped in the past with fundraising for them,
even though I have no children they would be interested in,
and hope that it always remains that way !

Some lovely old bikes pictured there Coconut. Can't see why they wouldn't allow a Trophy in the ride, when they don't mind a newish Harley and Moto Guzzi to join in. Looked like an enjoyable day.  :821: :158: Just looked at the video. A wave goes a long way to promote friendship. Also, can't believe your allowed to park on one side on such narrow roads. Once again, thanks.
