Oil leak
« on: September 26, 2018, 07:32:59 PM »

I think i have found the source of my oil leak, it started on route to Bulgaria, most of the 8mm bolts was slightly loose, enough to cause it to leak, all tightened up now, ride out the weekend. Just out of intrest, is it "illegal" to ride the bike with the farings missing / removed.

Thanks for the update !

A number of our Members have reported Oil Leaks caused by loose Crankcase Bolts -
This serves as a reminder to check and tighten them if needed, anytime the Fairings are off  :028:

I don't think that it's actually illegal to ride the bike with the fairing panels off a bike per say but if plod sees any sharp/pointy bits poking out, he/she may think that they could be a danger to others so maybe having words with you. :164:

I see that that wishbone bolt is still in your bike the wrong way around, have you had those bearings lubricated by a dealer maybe??
