Morning All
« on: July 18, 2013, 08:48:44 AM »
Hello all

After many visits in lurking mode, I thought that it was time to Hiya.

I currently ride a Deauville and have spent the last months researching my next bike.
I started with a list that included the BMW 1600GTL, Pan, Kawasaki 1400 but did not include the TT at all.

I have had no experience of any of the Triumph range before and therefore had not even considered it... but, having now expanded my research scope and having finally discounted the aforementioned machines, I have come firmly down on the side of the TT - specifically SE model.  :062:

I did visit my local Triumph dealer - Lings Watton, for a drool over their demo and display models - but have yet to get the time to go and test ride, but that will be sorted after our summer hols.

I reckon to take the SE, with topbox, heated grips and Sat Nav mount - in Blue... and probably will order in Sept.

I live in N Norfolk and have a better half who loves being 2 up on the D'oh and is completely up for the idea of a bigger bike with better touring capabilities - in fact we have kicked around ideas of an 8 day jaunt next summer to Bavaria, by way of Belgium and return via the Rhine valley.

So that's me. Hi to all.  :821:

Hi Biggie and welcome to the forum.
I got my Trophy from Lings of Wotton, they're good guys. I live in Wisbech so maybe we could meet up for a ride out once you get your bike.
Just got back from 3 weeks touring Germany, two up and fully loaded, you're gonna love this bike.

Hi biggie!

 :400: :400:

You have made a sound choice and seem to have followed a very similar path to many in here with regards to the models we have compared. Enjoy the Trophy SE when you get it and the many miles you will cover!

whatever you do then DON'T book the test ride before the end of the summer Hol's,
not unless you take your cheque book  :038:

Ha Ha Ha!  :008:
I understand your sentiment, but having done my research it just remains to ride the thing - 1 up & 2 up and to pay a deposit.
The only thing that will stop that is a bad riding experience - which i doubt I'll have....
