Motion in handlebars, slight motion detected when wiggled.

Today,I just noticed I have a loose motion to my handlebars. They arent exactly loose, but definitely have some motion. They move forward and back, ever so slightly. It appears the carrrier mounts to a rubber mount, that ultimately attached to the triple trees.
Have I just missed this or do I have a problem?

Are you thinking that it's more movement than the rubber should allow? Best check all the bolts, if you don't have the manual for torque settings, I or any other member can look for the figures I'm sure.

The Handlebars are indeed on rubber mounts, but I can't say I've noticed
and discernable movement in the Bars on my 2017 Trophy, so best to check them.  :169:

    Cheers  :821:

How many miles on your front tires? I just had the same issue. It got worse as time went on. It happened mostly at speeds less than 30 mph, upon deceleration. I could make it do it at lower speeds by holding the bars loosely and giving one of the grips a sudden push. I never felt unsafe, but it was annoying. When it came time for new tires, it went away.

I’ve only noticed it with the bike stopped, moving it around the garage. Can someone check their bike and see if they notice the same phenomenon?

My garage is really too small to move the Trophy around much, but what movement there is in the handlebars when it's parked is definitely the vibration absorbing mounts.  Now the free movement when it's out on the road is from the front wheel being a little light on occasion. :164:

Just tried moving mine, they go about 1/2" fore and aft and seem to want to move "together" rather than individually.

There's lead weights you can apply to the front wheel if it's too light. From the sounds of it, you've got it "balanced" just fine though.    :017:  :745:
