    LED front turn signal bulb?

Thinking of swapping in quite bright LED replacements in the mirror housings.  At around $10 each though, not worth it if I get the rapid blink.  Don't want to use resistors/load balancers, just the bulbs.  Anyone done this?  Does blink rate stay the same or get rapid?

I had to use resistors, but I think you can now find some led bulbs with internal resistors. You'll need resistors somewhere in the system, as it was engineered for incandescents.

I haven't checked but is there an electro-mechanical flasher on the bike originally?  If so, get an electronic flasher and no resistors necessary.  Heck I did this n a 2008 Royal Enfield Bullet without issue.  Just not sure how much of the "Computer" controls the flashers.  I went with LED's on the Enfield just to reduce power consumption BTW.

There is no separate Flasher Unit on the Trophy - this function is controlled by the Instrument pack.

Might just try it.  Especially if I use brighter LED's that draw a tad more voltage anyway...

Be careful, the blinking is controlled by the resistance of the bulb, might make the indicators fail.

I did this a couple of years ago, and they're still working 100%.

My job does require resistors, but they're extremely easy to mount on a Trophy.    You'll have to find out which LED bulbs have replaced the ones I used, as they're no longer available on Amazon.

You will absolutely need resistors, there isn't an LED set made that draws enough power to get the blink rate correct. There MAY be some that have resistors incorporated, but I doubt they'd fit since the space behind the mirror isn't the greatest, and the resistors need to dissipate the heat, so they'd probably be exposed to the wiring in the mirror pod, which may melt something.

If you DO decide to wire in the resistors, I tested out a several LED amber bulbs a little while ago: https://www.triumph-trophy.com/index.php/topic,8184.0.html -- I'm still running the ultra bright ones from my tests without incident.
