Replacing turn signal indicator
« on: October 19, 2018, 03:58:43 PM »
anybody know an easy way to replace the turn signal with out removing a ton of plastic?  I can't believe they sealed the lens to the body since most lenses are screwed on. I was thinking of just popping the new lens off the body and using Silicone to seal it. Any thoughts from the forum?

You do not have to remove any plastic.
Pull the mirror open to reveal the wiring to the indicator bulb.  Remove wiring by releasing the little silver u shaped clip.

Remove single fastener while holding the indicator so it does not fall out.
Remove indicator.  There is a little tab on the indicator that "hooks" to the inside of the indicator of it does not simply fall out.  This is a 3 minute job after you have done it once.
If you are replacing the bulb, just twist the bulb holder to remove it from the indicator.
Good luck.
