I just installed the comfort seat this past weekend.  It's too soon to tell, but from my experience with other seats, it feels as if it should be much better.   I can tell you that for me, the stock seat was just plain awful.  This experience is based on two different nonstop runs of 400 plus miles.  Well, I did stop once each time for a quick gas and go.

If anything mine seems a bit higher.  But I may have it set up in the high position by mistake. Haven't taken it off to check yet. My guess is I'm feeling the effects of a firmer seat.

I don't get it...

How can 'firm' be more comfortable? There are folks who like firm seats, but I am not sure if that equates comfy.

A gel seat should be softer, not firmer--seems to me. Gel shapes to you arsess.

I am not sure if TT have memory foam, but this type of foam inserts are supposed to shape to your butt also.

....I think my butt is shaping to the seat instead; its losing that spring it once had (the butt, that is...) :006:

Speaking of seats. I think that it one are that could use a little improvement on the next year. I am not complaining about the seat comfort. Its pretty good. Butt, when my wife is on the back, she is far from me, and far from the backrest. I think the riders seat could have been made 1-2" inches longer, and the pillion seat an equal amount shorter. That would have give me the ability to move to and fro a bit on long rides, and make the wife not feel so isolated. This is really nit pickin. I love the bike.

I only speak from thousands of miles, and up to 18 hour days on a seat.  For me firmer is more comfortable.
