Separate heated rider and passenger seats?

I can't really find this answer and don't want to search for the next hour.

----Is it right that if you buy an aftermarket heated seat, do you actually have to buy the rider heated seat, and then buy the passenger heated seat separately?  I've never had a seat before that was two pieces.  The rider and passenger seat are one piece on other bikes I've had.  I'm looking at buying a Trophy and want heated seats, so I want to find out how valuable it is to find that original option on a bike.

----If you had to buy both separately, about what would it cost you?

----I saw some mentions in the forums that it's hard to find heated seats now.  Is that still true today?

----If you had the factory heated seat on the bike, it will always be both rider and passenger heated seats, right?

    Thanks.

I have a Corbin heated seat, heated front and rear-2 settings for heat (It's for sale btw)

I also have the Trophy heated seat, rider only.  I have both the heated "low" and the regular height heated seat.
I did not buy a passenger heated seat.
So yes, the Trophy heated seats are sold separately.

    Blue42 :

You can buy a Heated Rider Seat OR a Heated Pillion Seat, OR both.  :169:

The Handlebar switch is present on ALL Trophy Models.

Each Heated Seat comes with the Switch and associated wiring Sub Harness
to connect into the existing wiring sockets.

If you go to this Web Site : Triumph Instructions.com, enter the Part Number A9708276,
and click on the Flag for your required Language, you can download a copy of the Installation instructions.

On this Web Site : Bike Bandit.com, click on the Accessories Tab, you will see a list of the various Heated Seats and prices.

Some options MAY no longer be available and you might need to start "Googling"
and checking the likes of eBay to find them !

    Cheers  :821:

:087:  Handlebar switch for heated seats?  My black rectangular heated seat switch position filler plugs, since I don't have heated seats,  are on the left side of the Trophy just below the seats.  The handlebar switchcube does have the switch in place for heated grips whether they're fitted or not.  Very rare to see an error by coconut!! :008:

     :430: !

That’s what happens when rushing to post a reply
without being late going to work ! !  :138:

More of an omission than an error though ....... :164:

     :420: .......

“Unlike the Handlebar switches for Heated Grips,
that are present on all Trophy models, and have
fooled some purchasers into believing they have
Heated Grips fitted, the Switch positions for Rider
and Pillion Heated Seats are fitted with Blanks.”

Both together cost me about $700.

Since the Trophy was discontinued, all accessories are getting harder and harder to find, yes, and it will only get worse as time goes on.

Only the 2012 (2013 model year) launch models had the option for the seats from the factory, and that option was $1,500 (came with some other stuff, too), at least in the USA.
