A new appreciation for my Trophy

After a year or so of ownership, I've been looking at potentially replacing my Trophy with another style bike...for no reason other than to change things up.

Then I rode into work today (I usually commute on my Trophy) and the temps during part of my commute dropped into the 40's. At first I was thinking damn! it's cold! Then I remembered the heated grips, seat and electric windscreen and the rest of the ride was very comfortable. The next thought that went through my mind was "This isn't such a bad bike after all."

All of this to say that I'm no longer looking at other bikes since I've gained a new appreciation for the total package that is the Trophy SE.

After less than a month and 1,050 miles of Trophy Ownership, I can already state with certainty that itís not as versatile as my BMW R1200GS. On the other hand, it is also clear that my Trophy offers significantly better weather protection than my GS, something I will really appreciate during chilly Springs and Autumns we often contend with here in the North Woods.  :190:

I does a lot of things very well, is equipped better than some others, has the best forum around, and it doesn't break the bank in the process.  What's not to like?  :001:

I have the SE and my bike came with the heated seats too, this and the other features mentioned certainly makes it the best all weather bike to commute on. :002:

Well, when it gets colder and starts to snow around here, the only way to improve on the TROPHY for riding is to get a snowmobile with heated grips, seats, adjustable windshield...and when the snow and ice melt off the roads again....back on the Trophy.

Or get the genuine Triumph Trackdrive conversion kit with T/C and ABS since all that other stuff can already be on the Trophy.  Guaranteed to take you places no one really wants to go.  But hurry, it's going to be discontinued after 4 model years, and it DOES NOT fit the Tiger.  :745:

I totaled my TTSE in May and I August I replaced it with an 2014 FJR 1300. Why? It fit my budget. I have a real appreciation for my old Trophy!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.
