Ah, so you can still open the lid I take it, because in normal use you can whether or not the panniers are attached to the bike or not.

Also the fact that you've mentioned removing some screws.

Sorry that I can't help you further, maybe the sections of plastic are just tight/holding it all together. I'm assuming that  you should be able to get to those parts in the end, whether or not Triumph sell just that part, I dunno?

If you look at the exploded parts drawing here :

World of Triumph - Trophy Panniers

... it looks like the latching mechanism for locking the Pannier onto the Carrier is NOT available
to purchase as a separate item, whereas the latch for the Pannier Lid ( Item 14 ) CAN be ordered on its own.

I have never taken a Pannier apart to try and access that mechanism, but in addition to the screws
around the inside edge of the Pannier Base, did you notice the 2 screws under the handle,
that only become visible when the handle is raised ?

If you do manage to get the Pannier base apart, the mechanism might be repairable,
but I would be prepared to purchase a complete new Pannier Base / Carcass assembly,
and then you will have the "fun" of either trying to remove and transfer the lock,
or end up with a different key for the new Pannier !  :191:

    Cheers  :821:

Check ebay for a side case and if the painted part is damaged it won't matter as long as the latches are good.
