    Wheel Colour
    on: Nov 12, 2018, 08.55 pm

For a couple of reasons, I'm not going to tax the bike from the end of this month, November, until next spring, one being a waste of money as I won't ride it much through the winter, therefore, I will get the wheels and main stand, and possibly the drive shaft refurbished as they are looking a little bit shabby, 2013 bike...

My question is, what colour grey are the wheels, the bike is Pacific Blue, or do you think a colour change perhaps.

    Hi Paul,

I have absolutely no idea whet colour the wheels are !

The question has been asked by a few Members over the years,
including someone that asked Triumph if they could help with a colour / paint code,
but no-one has ever found the answer !

Some Members have opted to Powder Coat their wheels at a specialist,
where you can choose your own colour, but if you just wanted to respray them
in as close a match as possible to the original colour, then you could try somewhere like Jawal Paints -
I think the closest one to you would be High Street, Smethwick,
where I understand they have some sort of "Scanner" that helps them find a colour match.

    Cheers,

    Cheers Alan.
I may just spray them, not sure yet, but I will keep them the same colour, or as close as.
the other bits I will get them powder coated, as I said, the parts are now looking a bit shabby, well, to me they are. Mind you, I always fancied having the wheels hydro dipped a carbon fibre effect on my last bike, what do you think.

    Paul.

    Wait. What!!!  :174:

Coconut doesn't know something about our wonderful machines?!? I am totally floored! Devistated in fact!  I am not too sure I will be able to recover from this emotional trauma!  :087:

Let me help you here, my trusted guru.  They are road dust gray - sort of - unless I've been on dirt roads of course  in which case they're road dust brown.

Glad I could be of such (under)whelming assistance.  Got your back buddy!  :001: :745:

     :431: - I've let you all down  :003:   :027:   :138:

Trying to make amends - I just closely examined my wheels,
and am pleased to be able to confirm that they are in fact, Grey.

The U.S. export models have a slightly different wheel colour - Gray.  :164:

    Cheers  :821:
