Here another small part. The rest I do not take photos because now it is very messy.

I'm guessing that you can't just buy one oscilloscope that's capable of giving you a reading on everything then?
Is it just down to the range that each scope provides? Some may not go down or high enough for example??

No, it should be an oscilloscope with many megabytes and would only be used for one purpose.

In the photo there is only one oscilloscope, the one on the right and just above the spectrum analyzer.

The two in the lower left are field meters and the one above is a frequency analyzer.

Would you recommended a particular one just to work on a range of modern vehicles with a 12V/5V system?

Depending on cost, I'm thinking that investing in such an oscilloscope maybe useful in the future. :002:

Well, it depends on what you want to do to work.

Now you have me intrigued !!!  :084:

What exactly do you want to do or measure?

There are sound waves, ocean waves, brain waves, and of course, voltage waves. An oscilloscope measures the latter. A cycle is the smallest part of the wave that repeats over time. A waveform is the graphic representation of a wave.

Since these days I will be locked up at home, I will try to turn on the oscilloscope and the spectrum analyzer, insert the impedance adapter that I made today for the FM + DAB antenna and take some photos for you to see how they work.

Nothing in particular at present, just seen others use one to pin point a CAN bus/data issue for example.

For what you comment it is complicated and it is necessary to have knowledge of electronics, as well as the electronic diagrams of what you are going to measure and check, unless you know the operation of an oscilloscope and they give you everything you have to check with a step by step tutorial.

I tell you all this because the oscilloscopes, the ideal is to have one (double channel, wave) and they are usually very expensive.

So I don't know if it would be profitable, I don't know, I don't know.
