RTE in Florida

A few weeks ago, stretched a RTE out to a 1000 mile day trip around Florida. A good day for it, just as the storm front was moving on so I missed most of the rain.
A small detour to visit the smallest standing Post Office in the USA - manned by friendly postman Don. Located in Ochopee, FL, near Miccosukee Indian territory.

Quite a ride to mail a letter. Neat looking little old Post Office.

Brenchley, you share my ideal distance for a day ride. Pointless getting the Trophy out just to go down the road for the paper or some milk. That is unless the nearest shop is 500 miles away. Seriously good days riding, or are you just getting saddle time for something bigger coming up later in the new year?

Yeah, Hackle, my day rides tend to run 500-1000 miles. I'm not much of a planner though. I may have a destination in mind, but I'm easily distracted if an interesting path opens. I'm of the mind that every day is a good day to ride.
My wife can't understand how, sometimes, it takes me three hours to get home - normally a twenty mile trip. In any case, she feels better that she can track me online.

Brenchley, the benefits of a Spot Tracker no doubt.

I use Bubbler GPS Pro in conjunction with Spotwalla and Google Maps tracking as well. They work for me, and my wife finds them simple to use for tracking me. Makes her feel better and sometimes that's what counts...
