Reluctantly parted with the trophy, old age (70 next year, body wearing out after working life spent in the building trade). Have swapped it for 800 Honda Crossrunner, ex demo 18months old, 1,000 miles. 165 lbs lighter, missing the weather protection especially in this cold spell.
Enjoyed the forum and especially the two photo shoots we did with the Lancaster and the Vulcan. Safe riding and all the best for Xmas and the New Year.

Sorry to see you go but I can appreciate that at 70 years of age your weightlifting days are probably behind you. I know that you will really enjoy the Crossrunner, it is a much under appreciated bike by the bike riding world but that V4 engine is a peach and the engine noise when the vtec kicks in is addictive! I know cos I have had two of them 😀 there is a good forum for the Crossrunner but not a patch on this one!!

A riding friend traded his ST1300 for a Crossrunner for exactly the same reasons and loved it. Enjoy it.

Bye bye DVD.  Enjoy your new Honda and call back with a report as I am racing towards 70 myself and came from the weight of an Electra Glide to a TTSE and was wondering what my next size reduction would be.

Currently, the Trophy is fine but I do realise that technique can only help so long as Father Time marches on; mind it beats the alternative!

    Love, light, and kindness,

    Dave

Bye DVP, you have to be practical about it. Enjoy your new wheels.
