Do you have to reload the USB driver for the dealer tool every time you use it?

NO - IF you follow the instructions so that Windows doesn't load it's own Drivers - that don't work !

After succesful installation, always use the same USB Port on your computer
so the DealerTool doesn't get recognised as a New Device on the new USB Port,
and check that Windows Updates aren't set to be installed Automatically,
so you can prevent those Windows Drivers from being installed during a Windows Update session.

Thanks Coconut.  The first couple times I used Dealertool, there were no com ports when I looked under options.  It seems to be working now.

This is an example of the INCORRECT Driver that Windows will attempt to Load,
if you allow Windows Update to do it's own thing :
( This one was released inOctober 2018 ).
