Digital speed not showing up on screen
    on: Jan 22, 2019, 04.29 pm

Just replaced my battery.   First the engine fault light came on.   This remained on until the engine was started a few times (expected).   Now, however, the screen won't display the speed of the bike!   While the analog instruments work, I just have the ODO displayed with a few dashes.  Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

    Sincerely,
    Jordan

If the “Engine Fault” Light ( Triumph like to call it
the Malfunction Indicator Lamp or “MIL” )
has been on, then there are probably some stored “DTC’s”
( Diagnostic Trouble Codes ) - Have you checked for these ?

    See this Topic :

HOW TO: Servicing Data, Reference Info. & DTC ( Fault ) Codes.

Scroll to Reply #8 for details of how to display any DTC’s
on your Instrument Panel Display, and at the end of that message
is a downloadable document that explains what the Codes mean,
along with other useful information !

Secondly, what's the Temperature like over there ?

There have been several reports of the digital Speedo
not displaying when the weather is very cold !  :190:

    Cheers  :821:

:062:Yep....it is well below freezing.  Just found out upon getting home and searching the forum, this is a "feature" of the 2015 Triumphs!

Anything below 3, it won't show. It's todo with the LCD not being warm enough as its a thicker display.Eventually it will return.

Yeah...it "magically" started working again.    Current temperature in Southern NJ is 27 degrees (think that is -3 C)

And I thought my BMW’s had “Character”!  :157:

As you all say, lucky we have the analog speedometer for back-up.
Where I live in Northern Wisconsin, the digital readout will be inoperable for six months out of the year!  :156:
