Coming from Phoenix direction it's just miles and miles of miles and miles and you can see ALL of them it's so flat.  Past Junction to the west and north there isn't much but very low intermittent rolling terrain from what little of it I've seen.

You are absolutely correct about the I-10 slog!
I have done it too many times already.
Remind me to recount the ďSummer Solstice RideĒ experience should we get together in March...  :435:

I thought about doing an IB thing using the I-10 corridor west of San Antonio, but with the speed limit out that way that would kinda be cheating! :745: I don't want to do one just for the sake of doing one anyway.  Too old to push things too much.

My first 24 hr. IB was 1,316 miles, way back in 1977 on a naked Honda CB750, primarily because I had run out of $$ on my first cross country trip.  That was long before there was an Iron Butt Association. I figured that I would never be likely to exceed that benchmark, so I never gave it much consideration, although circumstances have conspired to produce a number of 1,000+ mile days since.  :038:

I used the I-20/I-10 for my IB. With the short fuel range on my Tiger a few times it was actually interesting. I did have a little comfort with the 1 gal. rotopax strapped to the bike though. Also I was not the fastest thing on wheels that day, at approx 8 over I was getting passed like I was running 10 below PSL. Almost like playing frogger.

I did make it, I just had to ride 130 miles so I didnít have to leave for Waco 10:30.
I was checking out my GoPro I wanted to see if it would stay in place,  I use a small carabiner and a rope so in case it did fall off I would lose it.

How did the mount work out? Did you get a lot of vibration in the video?

I got home and the battery was at 1% and I havenít charged it yet to look.
The suction cup mount fit between the left headlight and turn signal.
Iím going to see if the SD  card will work in my Blue Ray player.
