Best kept secret right here.  Get these speakers.  Plenty of bass.   I had to turn bass ‘down’.  Plenty of volume.  Better than the Polk by far!

Highly recommended. I won’t be switching back!
Hi jid,  :158:

Do you really recommend these Powerbass XL-42SS speakers to replace the original Triumph speakers?
The quality and power of the Powerbass XL-42SS speakers is really better?

Thank you

Sound Quality: definitely.  A 9 out of 10.
Volume : yes. And 8.5 out of 10.

I wish the amp had more power but for the price (under 100 and 30-40 minutes of time my first time) definitely worth it.

Install is a 2 out of 10 (1 being easiest and 10 being hardest).  So worth it.

Thank you for your answer  :062: :821:

Last question: Take the speakers in 4 inches?

Bought the Powerbass XL-42SS speakers and thinking about installing this amp.

https://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-KAC-M1804-Compact-4-channel-Amplifier/dp/B00JEC0YFQ/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=kenwood+400+watt+marine+amp&qid=1567431858&s=gateway&sr=8-3

Would this work at increasing better sound? Thoughts? Ideas? :027:
At 5.5 x 3.5 x 1.3 inches, next would be is there a location for it?

You would need an amp with high level inputs, as there is no preamp-out connection on the oem audio unit.

I just wired in a Kicker Hi-to-Low level converter before the speakers.  Put a selector switch so that I can select between speakers and headphones.  Then I installed a 3.5mm headphone jack down near where the seat and tank filler trim panel meet.  I plug my earbuds into there or if I'm riding distance, I plug my Cardo g9x comm mp3 input in and get all the audio output from the triumph into my helmet.  This is much more reliable than the bluetooth from the bike.
