Hi All,

My Trophy is just headed in for the 80000 KM service. My front tire  (Pirelli GTll A Spec) will be replaced. It will have just over 17000 KMs. The wear bars say I could get a little more out of it but I don't want to bring the bike back for just a tire change. The tire is just starting to show some scalloping just off centre where the centre part of the tread is worn but no where near what I have seen on other tires. The tire still rolls in and transitions from one side to the other quite well and exhibits no adverse handling issues at high or low speed.

I ride one up, with panniers but no top box. Tire pressures are set at 37/42 cold. I'm mostly a speed limit kind of guy but the Trophy likes to play in the curves (as long as I can stop in the distance I can see). The GTll A Specs have great grip, dry or wet, hot or cold and track well through the curves so I doubt I'll ever put anything else on the Trophy.

What kind of mileage are you getting from the rear tire?
Was it replaced with the same mileage as the front?

Hi ST,

The rear tire went on at the same time as the front but after about 10000 kms I picked up a nail and chose to replace it. At that point the tire was showing very little wear. The replacement tire now has about 7000 kms and is also showing little sign of wear.
