FYI.  Just got an e-mail from Sena and they are offering factory refurbished 20S Evo and 30K headsets at $179 and $199 US respectively with full 2 year Sena warranty.  Pretty good buy, I paid much more than that for my 20S Evo.

I am still on the fence with SENA once I learned that they don’t make it easy to replace the battery, once they fail.

Replace the unit when the battery fails. How much easier can that be.

My SMH10 is 7 years old this may and it still takes and holds a charge like it always has.  Worst case scenario a micro USB charge cable can keep it going, even while it's being used.  I carry one of those small rechargeable power packs like people use for cell phones in an emergency in my jacket pocket for just such an emergency with the Sena.  It should be able to power it for days if need be.

Actually it's running constantly when I ride streaming audio to my 20S.  Whole different story.  You don't want to get another one of those started.  Suffice to say it's getting a workout, and I used it for at least 5 years as my first and only bluetooth headset until I got the 20S.

I replaced the batteries in both of my cardo scala units about a year ago. I just had to follow an instructive video to do it. The batteries were cheap & only it took a little patience and some soldering.
I imagine that the newer Senas are similar...

There is a detailed 20S battery replacement video on U-tube, and the guy used an 800 MAH replacement for the OEM 650 MAH battery.  It does require clipping the plug off and soldering the Sena plug onto it, but the wires are color coded so it's no problem.  Amazon has it for $7.49.  Looks pretty simple in the video.
